Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief

No one can truly be prepared for the depth of destruction in the aftermath of a natural disaster. In the midst of catastrophic loss, Lyle and Deborah Dukes Ministries remains committed to extending the love of Christ, hope and financial support. From Hurricane Katrina to the Thailand Tsunami, as well as earthquakes in Haiti and Chile, Lyle and Deborah Dukes Ministries has been there to help rebuild countries and communities and meet the needs of people.

Update on Our Haiti Relief Initiative
On January 12, 2010, a severe 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti and claimed over 212,000 lives. This natural disaster devastated the country, leaving homes and buildings completely leveled; people without food and water; and families separated and in despair. When this catastrophe occurred, Lyle and Deborah Dukes Ministries immediately responded by establishing a Haiti Relief Fund in an effort to help those affected by the crisis. Our global network of ministry partners joined our efforts and continue to send in donations to help bring relief to this nation. In support of this initiative, Lyle and Deborah Dukes Ministries took part in an effort that distributed:
  • Materials for more than 10,000 temporary shelters
  • More than 11,700 hygiene kits
  • 9,900 blankets
  • Clean water to more than 20,000 displaced people
  • Food and other supplies to 43 orphanages
  • 1,474 tons of food to 60,600 families

We are working diligently to help meet the needs of this nation. In our most recent endeavor, we presented $10,000 to Haitian Ambassador Raymond Joseph and the Republic of Haiti. Through our efforts, there are thousands of families who now live because they have food, water and hope.

While we've been able to accomplish so much in Haiti, the harsh reality is that there is no quick fix for a disaster of this magnitude. The people of this nation will continue to need food, water, medical assistance and more for years to come. We have committed ourselves to being vessels which God can use to meet the needs of this nation. We ask that you stand with us in our continual effort to bring hope and restoration to Haiti. Please pray about sowing a special financial gift to help with this initiative.
