The Victory Now Women's Celebration Service gathered hundreds of remarkable women who labor tirelessly and lovingly from day to day to provide for their families, to excel in their ministries, to build their communities and to advance God's Kingdom. On Friday, May 27th at 12:00 pm, the building was overflowing with victorious women and this service celebrated and honored these sacrificial, intelligent, priceless vessels.

Kicking off with an exceptional tribute presentation, the women immediately felt empowered and appreciated. Guest psalmist, Na Asiá Barnes, ushered in a spirit of praise and worship and we received a life-changing Word from Bishop Lyle Dukes, "Super Size It!" Women of God were truly inspired to "super size" their faith and take hold of the promises of God.

Four admirable women were awarded with distinct honors at the Women's Celebration Service for their contributions and service to others.

The Distinguished Service Awards were given to:

• Elder Valerie K. Brown

• Pastor Nakia Johnson


• First Lady Alva Rowe

The highest honor was the Woman of Power and Influence Award. The winner of this prestigious award was Pastor and Community Activist, Dr. Arlene Chavis.
